Last night I had a discussion with a woman who spoke to Owen several times over the past few weeks, was at his home this past week and has been in touch with Owen's brother Andrew over the past few days. This is what she had to say, almost word for word. Some of it is in the tabloids, but much of it isn't. This is a woman who has worked on several Wilson brother films and is very close to all three of them.

Owen did indeed try to commit suicide over Kate, but its not totally her fault. They WERE in love. Because of Kate's divorce, she was the one insisting that everything stay very down-low and approached the situation like "will my big strong boyfriend protect me from the gossips?", which is why he went way overboard and threatened to sue anyone that talked about their relationship breaking up her marriage to Chris Robinson. Owen was pestering Kate to marry him.

She was VERY committed to Owen and their relationship, but had no intention of agreeing to marriage seeing as how she married so young and wasn't even divorced yet . This made Owen very frustrated and he acted out by leaving her every so often and messing with other girls. She eventually got tired of the yo-yoing and broke up with him for real.

Like most volatile type relationships, they were still messing around even though they never really got back together. One of those "they love each other so much they can't stay away, but neither is willing to do what it takes to make the relationship really work" type of things. So this was going on until Kate went crazy for Dax Shepard. Its killing Owen because Kate is obviously head over heels for Dax. She is even putting Dax ahead of her own son, which she wouldn't do for Owen (remember she insisted the relationship be kept quiet for her son's sake). She's even whispering to friends that Dax is "the one" and she might marry him f he asked and it got back to Owen. She stopped taking Owen's calls and no more booty calls, so Owen went into a pretty bad depression.

Contrary to popular opinion, Owen is as moody and dark as his brother Luke, he's just not dramatic with it. He just gets very quiet and withdrawn when he's low and is not an asshole about it. Also contrary to opinion, Owen is not a doper. He'll take a toke or snort a line to be sociable, but he's not a regular user and he does not offer it in his home when he has parties and stuff. So the whole drug thing isn't really true. He did take some pills and mix it with alcohol (maybe more stuff, not sure) to try to "go to sleep", which is what he told his brother Andrew. My contact says as far as she knows it was just pills, but its possible that he may have slit his wrists as well, but she doesn't believe he did.

She's going to try and find out today and let me know tonight. Owen has been drunk and hiding in his house for a week or more and his brother was there just to kinda keep an eye on him. She also said that Andrew had called several friends including her to come by to try to cheer him up or talk sense into him, which is how she knows this has been going on for at least a week, but Owen refused to see anyone, and just stayed locked up in his room.

So in summary of what I've been told, Owen went into a depression over losing Kate for real, even though its his fault as well. His suicide attempt was more of an immature "you won't come back to me so I'm going to kill myself" thing. Not that attempted suicide for that reason is not serious, but the loss of the relationship is more than half his fault and Kate probably shouldn't be totally blamed for it.

Oh yeah, as an addition. Luke really did have a thing for Kate as well, though nothing happened between him and Kate. Just some sibling rivalry BS really.

However, Britney knows she won't be able to take them out of the country without Kevin's permission so she is planning a dramatic TV disappearing act. The troubled star wants to vanish in a spectacular stunt at the end of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas and re-appear in London.

She hopes the Houdini-style act will confuse everyone, including Kevin, and give her the time she needs to fly to the UK.

The trick, which is due to happen next month, has been arranged by Britney's reported new love interest, magician Criss Angel, and the pair spent two nights last week perfecting the move.A source told America's OK! magazine, "She thinks her only hope is to move to London and start afresh. She wants those boys more than anything in the world and it's heart-breaking."

Despite her attempts to keep Sean and Jayden, Kevin will still be able to claim the children from the UK due to the Hague Convention, which allows parents to seek the return of, or access to, their child.

US divorce lawyer Raoul Felder said, "You can run, but you can't hide. If you go to most foreign countries you come under the Hague Convention."There would be a hearing in London and he would award the father the children."

Did you hear that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes sleep in separate bedrooms? Well, it's true, at least according to Star Magazine. I know that probably doesn't come as too big of a shock if you really stop and think about it. What comes as a shock to me though is that Katie decorated her room in pastels with lots of stuffed animals and a miniature horse carousel which she rides when she's sad. I wonder how many engines have been burned out on that thing.

I love my job, don't get me wrong....it keeps me challenged and i'm never sure day to day what will happen, it's not quite a set schedule, which i like!! but last week, THE STRESS!!!! Even my boss wandered around wondering out loud what the hell was up with last week! So...I have not abandoned or bailed by any means, I dearly love you all!!!! *kisses!*

There is a "strong possibility" the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office will not file felony charges against Lindsay Lohan in connection with her two DUI arrests, law enforcement sources told TMZ.com.

Charges may be filed Wednesday, and the D.A. is leaning toward rejecting three possible felonies, TMZ reported. The D.A. almost certainly will not file cocaine charges in connection with Lohan's DUI bust Memorial Day weekend in Beverly Hills, the site said.

As for her July 24 arrest in Santa Monica, the D.A. could charge Lohan with felony cocaine possession, and bringing cocaine into a correctional facility — also a felony. But the D.A. is inclined not to file those felony charges either, sources told TMZ.

Lohan, 21, was arrested for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence and with a suspended license and felony cocaine possession after last month's pre-dawn chase that ended in Santa Monica.

The starlet is currently a patient at the posh Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol rehab center in Sundance, Utah.

Lohan was also arrested May 26 on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing her car into a curb on Sunset Boulevard.

Her arraignment is set for Friday.

Hollywood wild child Lindsay Lohan is rumoured to be pregnant rather than in rehab.

An unnamed friend of the actress suggested reports the Mean Girls star has entered rehab was a front to conceal a pregnancy.

The source told the US edition of OK! Magazine: 'It wouldn't be the first time she's had a pregnancy scare.'

According to the Metro, there have been no sightings of Lindsay at the Cirque Lodge rehab centre in Utah where she is supposed to be receiving treatment to overcome her heavy drinking and partying.

And attempts by the newspaper to get her spokesman to confirm her location were refused.

But Lindsay will have to emerge from hiding soon to attend court on August 24th to answer charges of driving under the influence of drugs relating to a crash in July.

The 21-year-old's former bodyguard, Tony Almeida, has placed the blame for Lindsay's wild behaviour on her publicity-hungry parents.

Both Dina and Michael Lohan have regularly appeared on US television during their daughter's fall from grace and Mr Almeida says they pushed her to keep working to fund their lifestyles.

He told In Touch magazine: 'From a young age, [Lindsay] dealt with her father's physical, emotional and drug abuses as well as her mother's drinking.

'Lindsay was the family cash cow - and she [Dina] resented it. They counted on her to pay their bills...I saw Lindsay exhausted, begging her mother for some time off.'

When Johnny Depp revealed in past interviews time after time that has a young boy he longed to play the character of Barnabas Collins from the vampiric soap opera, “Dark Shadows,” I wonder if he ever thought that one day he’d actually get his wish?

Sources close to Variety have reported that Depp and Graham King’s GK Films have finally closed a deal to develop a feature based on the cult series.

A rights deal just closed with the estate of Dan Curtis, the producer/director who created the soap that aired weekdays on ABC, from 1966 to 1971. Depp and King will produce with David Kennedy, who ran Dan Curtis Prods. until Curtis died last year of a brain tumor. Infinitum-Nihil’s Christi Dembrowski served as the point person on the deal.

“Dark Shadows” was a campy soap that featured all things Halloween - monsters, a few witches here and there, zombies, a pack of werewolves and yes - vampires, and even though it hasn’t seen the light of TV by anything worthy in years (although the Sci-Fi Channel did run the original series back in the late 1990’s), it continues to have - what else? - a cult following, including a Dark Shadows Festival (held annually since 1983), which is a two day event scheduled to take place this year at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, New York on August 17 and 18.

The news that Depp has signed on to create a new - and much more current - “Dark Shadows” is probably welcome news to some, but there are those who will always prefer the original. No news yet on when we can expect to see the development come full term, but Depp fans can look forward to seeing him in “Sweeney Todd” next year.

Despite canceling their nuptials scheduled to occur earlier this week, the on-again, off-again wedding of Usher and his pregnant fiancee was finally on -- and held quietly Friday, sources told Stella's Column late Friday night.
The multiplatinum singer married his longtime girlfriend, Tameka Foster, who is several years older than he, during a private ceremony in his lawyer's office in Atlanta on Friday, sources said.

Among those present was Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton, who, it has been widely reported, staunchly disapproved of the marriage. Foster was reportedly largely responsible for Usher firing his mom as his manager last May.

The pair, who are expecting their first child together this fall, had been scheduled to marry last weekend before Usher publicist Patti Webster announced the wedding was called off.

The couple reportedly disagreed over an elaborate prenuptial agreement supported by Usher's mother.

DNA testing on about a dozen people who claim James Brown was their father has found that at least two of them are telling the truth, a longtime adviser to the late soul singer said Friday.

Several tests have come back negative, while others are pending, said Buddy Dallas, who did not have exact numbers Friday night.

Dallas refused to identify the two people whose DNA showed they were Brown's children, but The Augusta Chronicle reported that LaRhonda Petitt, a 45-year-old retired flight attendant and teacher in Houston, showed the newspaper a report that says there is a 99.99 percent probability she is Brown's daughter.

She would be the oldest of Brown's children.

Brown picked out Petitt's mother from the crowd at a show in Los Angeles in the early 1960s, and she became the singer's girlfriend, sometimes ironing his shirts before his shows, Petitt said.

But when her mother became pregnant, she split with Brown and moved back to Houston. She would point to the television when Brown was performing and tell her daughter the singer was her father, Petitt told the newspaper.

Petitt said that she met Brown at concerts and spoke to him over the phone, but that he never acknowledged being her father.

"I was angry that he was out there making all this money, and he wasn't doing anything for my mother and me," Petitt told the newspaper. "I could have had a better life."

Brown died Dec. 25 of heart failure at age 73. His body was entombed in a crypt at the home of one of his daughters in March.

Brown's will, which is being disputed in court, names six children.

One possible child of Brown's who hasn't undergone a DNA test is 6-year-old James Brown II, the son of Tomi Rae Hynie. Hynie was one of Brown's backup singers and said she is the singer's fourth wife. But Brown's attorneys continue to dispute that claim, and the boy and his mother are not in the singer's will.

In court papers filed in recent weeks, Dallas said Brown told him that James II was not his child and that instead of calling him "son," he referred to him as "little man."

Whether Petitt makes a claim to Brown's estate depends on whether the will holds up, said her lawyer, Jim Griffin. He would at least like Petitt's two daughters to be eligible for a trust the signer set up to pay for his grandchildren's education, he said.

Petitt said she has grown less bitter about Brown as the years have passed.

I love my daddy," she told the Chronicle. "When I hear my daddy's music, it just freezes me."
