If PEOPLE magazine says it, is it true?

I mean, they do go around on their knees kissing celebrity ass...

In the latest issue of People, "Jon & Kate Plus 8" mom Kate Gosselin admits that she and her husband, Jon, have been experiencing months of tumult at home.

"I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing," she says in the issue, which hits newsstands Friday. "I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this person?' for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights."

The person Kate Gosselin has been wondering about is Deanna Hummel, a 23-year-old third grade teacher whom Jon Gosselin has allegedly been involved with for months.

"You can't imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months," she tells the magazine.

Now, Kate's fidelity is also being scrutinized, as tabloids fire off stories linking her to the family's bodyguard Steve Neild. Although Kate has called the reports lies, a variety of witnesses have spoken out about her affectionate relationship with the married Neild, who often travels with her while Jon stays at home with the children.

US magazine claims the pair were "very physical, often touching each other," at a recent promotional appearance for the show. "She was gently poking him, giving him little love pats, totally unlike the slapping she does with Jon," the magazine says, quoting a staffer who handled the promo spot.

US goes on to back up People's assertion that the couple may split, quoting a family source as saying that Jon believes the marriage is over, and neither of the Gosselins want to try and repair the damage.
