Britney News...

I found this on, of all places, Gawker.com:

Now that Britney Spears has seemingly been free of drugs and scuzzy males for a little while, her parents are hoping to make the rebirth stick by banning her from having sex for the next six months. Spears (left, in another life) has never been romantically linked to a decent man in her adult life, and that might have something to do with her parents' crap treatment of her as a fleshy commodity when she was still a kid, so one could imagine their happiest daydream lately is a celibate, childlike Britney in the body of a grown woman.

A friend tells Now, “Jamie and Lynne feel she’s so close to cracking the big time again that they don’t want anything to get in her way.

“They’re desperate to ensure that it won’t happen again. Their worst nightmare is that she gets involved with someone else who’s just trying to use her for her money or to further their own career.”

In other Spears news, Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn, 17, reportedly just broke up with the father of her four-month-old daughter.

*and here's the Jamie Lynn story......wasn't there something recently about her moving to L.A. to be closer to her sister?*

It has been a turbulent time for Jamie Lynn Spears. Less than four months after the birth of their daughter, Maddie, Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are calling it quits, reports Life & Style Weekly. "Romantically, there is nothing left between them," says a Spears family insider. "Jamie Lynn hoped that having Maddie would settle Casey down, but the cheating scandal finally hit home."
Jamie Lynn Spears Still Battling With Baby Daddy

As previously reported by the weekly entertainment magazine complete with pictures of a woman named, Kelli Dawson and she claimed she had a fling with Casey while Jamie Lynn was pregnant. Casey said that is wrong and he has denied he's cheated, the magazine reports.

And though Casey's pals tell Jamie Lynn, 17, that he does love her, they say his feelings are "not enough for him to commit to being a husband," adds the insider. Will they patch things up and ever make it to the altar?

The magazine claims that Casey, 19, is no longer living in the couple's Liberty, Miss., home. "He's welcome to see Maddie whenever he wants, but that's it," says the insider. "Her family isn't unhappy about it. Everybody on Jamie Lynn's side is tired of making excuses. They had to do it for years with Kevin [Federline, Britney's ex]!"

*Jamie Lynn is still a dumbass, even if the little fucktrophy isn't Casey's*

The Rachel Zoe Project

So, I did what I told myself I would never do, I watched the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo. Mainly, I watched it because I was bored out of my skull but I did have a morbid curiosity about it. Maybe there was some fashion insight I could gain from her, not that I'm the most stylish person who ever walked the earth.

Somehow watching it, I got the sense that this is the kind of person that women in ancient Rome used for styling. Women who were of the elite, the upper crust that could only be imagined and envied by everyone else. At least, Rachel looks like she may have been around that long. Cheap shot, I know.

Anyhow, the first thing that strikes me watching this program is that the woman does not SHUT UP. Even with her own husband, her mouth just goes and goes and no one can get a word in. What is especially annoying are the phrases she uses, "It's like..." "It's like I was thinking...." and it all revolves around Rachel. I almost wonder how she is with clients, if she's so self indulgent with them.

The other thing that strikes the viewer right in the face is her obsession with '70's vintage couture. Yuck. Maybe there is something waaay deep in the bottoms of the leftovers that might be interesting but the 70's were bad enough the first time around.....

Yes, it's impressive all the people she knows, all the people she styles, all the designers she hangs out with. But somehow it is all so boring. I actually appreciate my my boring desk job and my terrible plain fashion. I would mind doing AP or AR for her but the rest just seems so mundane.

Maybe as I've gotten older I've become immune to such glitter and eyeliner. I don't know. I can see only watching a few episodes before writing it off as yet one more lame reality attempt at trying to capture someone's attention. I'm not sure if they are trying to convince people that they might be able to aspire to her achievements if they went to community college as a fashion merchandising major....or if they should just throw the money out of a window and hope for the best. I can't quite list it as a guilty pleasure and yet there is an odd fascination. I suppose I shall watch until I get bored with it. I'm sure it wont' take long.

What would be entertaining would be for Tyra and Rachel to co-host a show together.....That could be interesting if done in a cage match style! I'd be hooked! Rachel, throwing Oscar De La Renta bracelets to fend off Tyra's lizard rage hair attacks!

WTF Is Victoria Beckham wearing?

Srsly, WTF?

Valkyrie Doomed?

Seems Tom's pet project isn't getting such rave reviews so far. From Foxnews:

Tom Cruise's Hitler Flick: 'No Audience'

The first opinions are in on Tom Cruise’s Christmas Day release about the failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler.

The movie in question is "Valkyrie," a project now exceeding $100 million and maybe the cause of the end of this chapter in the life of United Artists.

Not since UA gave birth to "Heaven’s Gate" in 1980 and capsized as a result has a studio’s future been so tied to one title.

It doesn’t help that since UA went into business with Cruise and Paula Wagner, the longtime business partners broke up and Wagner left. To make matters worse, Merrill Lynch, which organized the $500 million credit line for Cruise/Wagner, has now also vanished. They were bought by Bank of America two weeks ago.

Luckily, Merrill didn’t hand the full amount over so fast.

Now, several industry insiders have been to a couple of screenings of "Valkyrie." What do they say? They agree that it’s a well-made movie, and even an absorbing thriller. But what matters more is that they’re telling me "it’s not an Oscar movie, there’s nothing Oscar about it."

Even awards aren’t the total problem, however. "You sit there and say, 'Who am I selling this movie to? Who’s the audience? And the answer is, No one.'"

Indeed, the marketing problems for "Valkyrie" are huge. Dec. 26 is already pretty crowded with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in "Revolutionary Road," the wide release of Ron Howard’s "Frost/Nixon" and John Cusack in the highly anticipated "Shanghai". That would cover the intellectual upscale audience.

That leaves family drama — Forest Whitaker in "Hurricane Season," Jennifer Aniston in "Marley and Me" — plus Adam Sandler in "Bedtime Stories."

And it’s not like there won’t be big box office stars in theaters that week. Brad Pitt, Will Smith and Jim Carrey all have releases out one week earlier.

That, compounded with the obvious: watching Hitler kill off his would-be assassins isn’t exactly holiday fare. The movie ends with the most evil person who ever lived murdering the "good guys." There’s no happy ending, that’s for sure.

"You just don’t know which set of bad Germans to root for," one source told me. "There are no heroes, that’s for sure."

I like them together!

They are cute! The age difference doesn't bother, me, look at Demi & Ashton...for whatever reason, they are still together. Granted, Scarlett can't sing to save her life, but I like Scarlett and Ryan together, they just seem to fit. I hope their marriage lasts! Congrats, you two! From E!Online:

Sorry guys and gals, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are officially off the market.

Ryan, 31, and Scarlett, 23, quietly tied the knot on Saturday in an intimate ceremony outside Vancouver in the groom's native Canada, E! News has confirmed. This is the first marriage for both.

The newlyweds began dating in February 2007 and announced their engagement just four months ago.
