DJ AM DEAD

from TMZ.com:

Law enforcement sources tell us DJ AM -- also known as Adam Goldstein -- was found dead this afternoon in New York City.

Sources tell us he was found in his apartment at around 5:20 PM. We're told drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.

We're told DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days -- one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door.

We're told the friend called the police, who broke down the door and then found DJ AM's body.

Back in September of 2008, DJ AM and Travis Barker survived a plane crash in South Carolina. Four people died in the crash -- which was caused when the airplane aborted takeoff and then ran off the runway. DJ AM and Barker were the only survivors.

Here's a little bit of him at work:

Here we go

So Brad lied in his interview that he gave up smoking pot because of the kids? What's the real story? Is she really still shooting smack? courtesy of digitalspy:

Angelina Jolie has reportedly blamed Jennifer Aniston after discovering that Brad Pitt used to smoke marijuana.

Jolie allegedly told her friends that partner Pitt lied to her when he said that he had stopped smoking the drug.

A source admitted to the National Enquirer: "Ange says it's Jen's fault Brad is still smoking pot, since the bulk of his drug-taking days were when he was with her.

"She's angry and looking for someone to blame, so Jen is always going to be a prime target."

The insider continued: "Angie, feeling she's been totally lied to, is piecing together all the other things Brad's not been truthful to her about and come up with a fairly long list."

Chelsa lately split!

Does this mean that her show will tank very soon? I'm getting tired of it anyway, she's just using it as a promotional tool for other comics, not for her own material...because she's just NOT THAT FUNNY. from digitalspy:

Comedian Chelsea Handler has split from her long-term boyfriend, according to reports.

The 34-year-old host of E! chatshow Chelsea Lately broke up with her TV boss and partner of three years Ted Harbert, says Contactmusic.

The pair reportedly shared a Los Angeles home for much of their relationship, while it is believed that the comic asked Harbert to move out into a Hollywood hotel.

A spokesperson for Handler declined to comment on the matter.

GOOD

If Princess RiRi and Masterfists Brown are going to beat on each other, then that means they don't need to be together anyway. From yahoo!news:

A judge on Tuesday sentenced Chris Brown to five years' probation, six months' community labor for the beating of Rihanna and ordered the R&B singer to stay away from his former girlfriend for the next five years.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown that he could be sent to state prison if he violated any terms of his sentence, including an order to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they're attending music industry events.

Brown will serve his sentence in his home state — Virginia — and his community labor will be overseen by the police chief in Richmond.

The judge said she wanted to ensure that Brown, 20, performs physical labor instead of community service, such as mentoring young people. He will also undergo a year of domestic violence counseling.

Rihanna did not attend Tuesday's sentencing.

At one point, Brown, who was accompanied by his mother, agreed to the terms of the sentence before Schnegg had finished going through them all.

The hearing had been planned for Thursday afternoon, but Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, asked to move up the singer's sentencing to Tuesday. A previous attempt to sentence Brown was postponed when Schnegg said she hadn't received adequate assurances that Brown would perform physical labor if allowed to serve probation in Virginia.

The judge said she was satisfied with a letter presented by Geragos that Richmond Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood will directly oversee Brown's labor program.

After Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault in June, Schnegg ordered the pair to stay away from each other and to not contact one another. Her order Tuesday essentially extended that for the next five years.

He said after Tuesday's hearing that Rihanna did not object to to the stay-away order, which allows the former couple to be within 10 yards of each other if they are attending music industry events.

Otherwise, Brown was ordered to remain 100 yards away from Rihanna.

*Think she'll walk around with a 100 yard ruler? Ozymandias is pleased.*

DRUGS LEGAL IN MEXICO

Let the new culture of drug tourism begin! Remeber, you still can't bring it back over the border, kids!

fresh from Gawker.com:

Not to totally alarm you but drugs are now legal in Mexico, okay. Here's how much you can carry! For "personal use," Dr. Gonzo:

The maximum amount of marijuana for "personal use" under the new law is 5 grams-the equivalent of about four joints. The limit is a half gram for cocaine, the equivalent of about 4 "lines." For other drugs, the limits are 50 milligrams of heroin, 40 milligrams for methamphetamine and 0.015 milligrams for LSD.

Here's a summary from a comment made by SpiritFingers:

And Cancun already smelled like vomit and lapsed virginity...now reefer and heroin body funk? Phew. That place is now a Rob Zombie movie.

So now the only reason anyone goes to Mexico is to be a drug tourist, amirite?
