At a concert in Sydney, Australia last month, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor encouraged his fans to steal music in order to get the point across to record executives that they are "greedy fucking assholes". Reznor recently left his record label, partly over the ridiculous prices they charge for his music. Here's the actual video of his Sydney speech from September 16.
Transcript: "My record label all around the world hates me because I yelled back at them - called them out for being greedy fucking assholes....Okay, well, you know what that means - STEAL IT. Steal away. Steal and steal and steal some more and give it to all your friends and keep on stealin'. Because one way or another these motherfuckers will get it through their head that they're ripping people off and that's not right.
