The VMA's

Frankly, it's all a big "whatever" to me. Always has been. I wasn't going to post anything about it. I thought everyone knew what a load of crap it all was since they rigged it in the '80's just to give Micheal Jackson recognition for all the money he made mtv. Where's Madonna's tribute? She made them a shitload! But I do agree with Courtney Love here:

Courtney Love has taken to her Myspace blog to rant about last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, and says that even the fact that her buddy Russell Brand was presenting didn’t entice her into going.

“I didnt go to the "VMAS" as we used to call them but theyve gotten so fucking Urban i dont know i guess Van Toffler thought ( hes an exec at MTV ) he was being edgy and he WAS by letting my darkling prince Brand host the mtv awards- but theyre not the "VMAS" and they never will be again,” rants Love.

After blasting the ceremony for its urban content, Love tore into clean-living heartthrobs The Jonas Brothers for wearing ‘promise’ rings to proclaim they are preserving their virginity.

“ i had ZERO desire to watch let alone go and thats one of my very favourite people ive ever known or had the honour of being friends and fiends with hosting it so i feel horribly rude that my desire not to watch assholes with chastity rings- oh for fucks sake ive had some great conversations but not ONE has ever ended in an Orgasm, y'all need some pussy and some cock and shut the hell up-“

Last night’s MTV Video Music Awards were introduced by Britney Spears, who went on to win three awards for her 'Piece Of Me' video: Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video Of The Year.

Spears appeared calm and relaxed at the ceremony, a far cry from last year’s botched comeback performance which reportedly saw her run offstage in tears.

They have no clue what true rock and roll is. But the VMA's were always full of shit. Then again, it's not the teen choice awards and it's not the BET video awards, so WTF? Truly we have become culturally bankrupt. It's not supposed to be safe, it's not supposed to be parent approved. Fuk this safe music/show shit, where's the real music and scene at? When did Musak become pop?*

Kid Rock Exclusive in Houston!

This a.m. on 94.5 the Buzz, Kid Rock called in to promote his new album due out Oct. 9 and of course talked about his scuffle with Tommy Lee at the VMA's. But befor that, here's his view on Britney:

"I don't know what filters or on-the-fly editing MTV uses but she didn't look fat." He had no comment her the actual performance.

On Tommy Lee, Kid was adament about the cause of it, that Pam had nothing to do with the fight. He said that Tommy and he had never gotten along, havn't liked each other for years and what happened was that Kid and Tommy were put together in close proximity by people who knew they didn't like each other and Kid wasn't going to back down from Tommy, so a fight was inevitable, whatever words were said (his lawyer was preventing him from giving too much detail), Kid was provoked and bitch-slapped Tommy, Tommy was pissed because he didn't get to hit Kid back. When asked if MTV did a deliberate setup for ratings, Kid replied that he wouldn't be surprised if that were the case (remember the Madonna/Britney kiss? it's like the VMA's thrive on controversy, not music). Kid pointed out that he's held back for years mainly for his kid and for Tommy's because the kids have to bear the brunt of what the parents deal out, especially at school, so Kid has always tried to make it easier for his 14-year-old son.

"Tommy knew it was coming." Kid said of smacking Tommy.

In response to Tommy Lee's apology to Aretha Franklin and others for the fight, Kid Rock Said he refused to make an apology since this was something that had been going on for a while between the two. Kid claimed that Tommy hadn't been invited to the VMA's, Kid had been and he really didn't know why Tommy was there unless he was wanting to drool over Britney. Kid said that he had gotten up to go to the bathroom, (Tommy Lee's table had been seated next to his) but when Kid came back, Tommy had taken over his table, sparking the incident. "Anyone in my position would have done the same," Kid Rock commented. Tommy Lee had claimed that P. Diddy had texted him to come over to that table.

As to be expected, the bet is this: if Tommy Lee and Kid Rock were to fight each other, who would win? Personally, I'd be scared of getting Tommy Lee's Hep C.....but I think Kid could whip his ass.....it would be an old-fashioned hillbilly beating! What do you think?
