Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has been jailed for 14 weeks for violating his probation.Pete Doherty has been sent to Wormwood Scrubs prison for 14 weeks for violating his probation and using drugs. After being given a suspended sentence for possessing drugs and driving illegally in October last year, Kate Moss’ ex was required to give regular progress reports to the court and complete a drug rehab programme. Judge Davinder Lachar handed down the sentence after Doherty missed an appointment with his probation officer and was late for another.

Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek told BBC 6 Music, “I feel gutted for him. Obviously he's going to find it really difficult in there but all I can say is that the band is going to stick with him as always.” Pete’s time in jail also means he will miss his solo April performance at the Royal Albert Hall, his biggest solo show to date. However, in a statement, the singer’s record label promised the show would be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date. “Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned.” Provided he behaves himself inside, legal experts expect Pete to serve a month of his sentence meaning he’ll s
