How terrible! While being interviewed for
Elle Magazine,
Jessica Simpson admitted that she was a victim of abuse in the past. She wouldn't get into specifics, but claims it forced her to get out of the relationship as soon as she could.
I don’t want to talk about it, but I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run."
In one of the tracks from her upcoming album,

Remember That, the star can be heard singing:
"It doesn’t matter how he hurts you / With his hands or with his words / You don’t deserve it / It ain’t worth it / Take your heart and run."
Pulling from life's experiences is always the
best artistic expression. Simpson’s first country album is slated to hit shelves on 9 September.
