Blind Items!
[CDAN] This former almost A list female singer who does not do too badly for herself in her other endeavors now, gave her boyfriend a certain amount of money she wanted him to spend on her for Christmas. She even told him what she wanted and when she was planning on displaying it on public. Not only did the boyfriend not get what she wanted him to get, he apparently pocketed about 85% of the funds she gave him for the present and says he should get it as a bonus for his efforts this year.

*Spin's guess - Jessica Simpson*

(Panache Report)-

There is a surrogacy trend in Hollywood.  Allegedly, a certain couple hired a "donor concierge" a year ago.  This particular donor concierge caters to celebrities who value secrecy.  She also has access to an "elite" egg donor database (worldwide).  She can find any surrogate who closely fits your requirements.
Surrogates are usually paid between $50,000-$100,000 dollars. This particular couple paid a staggering $1 million dollars plus medical expenses.
The donor concierge (acting as an fixer) makes the money exchange and is responsible for discretion.
Who is the couple?

She's delusional with no self esteem.  Her non-single man doesn't live with her but she pays the rent on his residence.  Despite this, he refused to give her a key.
Women come and go.
If his baby mama gets out of hand, he plans to play a tug of war with the bundle of joy via a bitter custody battle.  The only way he will agree to give her full custody?  A cash settlement (allegedly).
Who is she?

Robert Dowdy Juror Post!

yes I stole that. whatever. from contactmusic.com:

Oscar nominee ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is expanding his theatrical repertoire - by writing a stage musical.

The star, who lost out on a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award on Sunday (22Feb09), has revealed he has been working on the project for a number of years, and is tirelessly trying to get it finished.

Downey Jr says, "I'm a little busy right now. Every two years or so I'm saying that I am going to do a big musical; I'm just tired of saying that I am going to do stuff that sounds cool. If I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it."

And he insists he isn't just trying to cash in on his fame and recent career resurgence - because he has always considered himself to be a musician.

The Iron Man star adds, "It's always lame when somebody gets really famous and they say they're going to be a singer. I'm like, 'You've already won the lottery, so take it easy, moron!' But I'm also a composer and I sing what I write."

Downey, Jr has already tasted a little musical success - his 2004 album The Futurist was well received and he also recorded a Christmas album with Vonda Shepard.

Iron Man

Just got back from seeing it and was NOT disappointed! Very clever, very fun, very much recommend! LOVE Robert Downey Jr., he was the perfect pick to play Tony Stark. I would wreck my body for that man, I would have his babies! So sexy, so totally Mr. Cool.

Iron Man is the story of playboy Tony stark, who inherited his father's weapons manufacturing empire. He plays, he drinks, he fucks. He gets kidnapped after a horrible landmine incident and his life is changed after being saved by a fellow prisoner, who happens to be a doctor. I don't want to give to much away. But Iron Man is born and Tony Manages to escape. It is an easy role, at least RDJ seemed to assume the role with ease, convincing us without effort that he is, in fact, Tony Stark.

Gwyneth Paltrow plays his personal assistant, or as is common in action movies, "the girl." "The girl" isn't a difficult role, she just has to fulfill whatever look is required for the picture. She isn't bad as Pepper Potts. At first she is dry, but shows that she has a human side and true affection for her boss, Tony Stark.

The bad guy turns out to be Tony's longtime business partner, who was also his father's friend, but again, I don't want to give too much away.

Overall, Iron Man was inspiring, awing, great fun and I want to own a copy. The writing was good, the acting was top-notch and I was not bored at any time during the film. It did not reach too far or try to hard to impress, it didn't need to. Forget Batman, Forget Superman, Iron Man is supreme! The message that I took away, intended or not, was that unlike the typical American "Throw a bunch of money at some stuff and the problem will be solved" was more like "Throw a lot of money at one specific problem and you can probably not only solve it but others could benefit as well."

Be sure to stay for the very very end, after all the credits have rolled, to see a quick preview of Iron Man 2.
