They are also encouraging media to use the words “committed”, “united”, “devoted”, “happy”, and “generous” (?) to describe the couple. Their objective is to distract attention from their boy’s bad behavior and shaky relationship by destroying any remaining shreds of the girl’s reputation. Nice.

Please note that this item is from September 2010 – a full year ago. Nothing has changed since then. Ashton is still cheating. Except this time he’s going to have a tougher time discrediting the woman/women (yes, you’ll be hearing about more than one) making the allegations.

On Thursday, Kutcher finally broke his silence – sort of – when he tweeted a link to his Spotify account. His current jam? Public Enemy’s song “Don’t Believe the Hype.” Kutcher let the song title speak for itself and did not add any additional commentary.

Well, you should definitely believe the hype. All of it. Ashton Kutcher is cheating dog. Always has been. However, this time, he won’t have Demi Moore backing him up with tweets of love and solidarity and distracting bikini photos.  And he’s going to have a much tougher time convincing people that the girls with whom he had affairs are the golddigging liars and that he is the devoted husband and victim.

Depending on who you talk to and which day it is, she is either gorgeous or ugly. Well, we know one thing for sure: she is pregnant! She is seven weeks along, and you should expect the announcement within the next couple of weeks. She could wait longer, but she wants to avoid the criticisms about her fluctuating weight. She thinks it will be good for people to know that she “has a baby on board, rather than a burrito on board.” Both she and her partner are very happy about the pregnancy. Oh, and they will be getting married, although the wedding will now happen after the baby is born.

Contrary to popular belief, it’s not because she is jealous that another performer that the company reps is getting more attention than her. It’s because she and her e-boss got into a huge fight about her personal life.

You see, her former company did more than make her a professional success. When the performer ran into some serious trouble with an old beau, the company did everything possible to protect her and get her personal and professional life back on track. They exhibited tremendous loyalty to her to the point of alienating others in the industry.

And what does she do to thank them? Make questionable videos and try to get back together with the beau who almost ruined her career. Both of these actions are real slaps in the face to those at the top of their game who worked so hard to build and protect her career.

So they let her go. You can’t manage someone who is so determined to undermine her own success.

1. Saying that their marriage is “intact” is simply a fresh way of saying that they are not yet divorced. Therefore, it is a true statement.

2. Celebrities want to be in control of the timing of announcements about their personal lives. They get really irritated when information leaks out prematurely. This couple is no exception. The info was leaked and they are furious. Expect them and their publicist/s to continue to deny any rumors to maintain a modicum of control until all the pieces are in place for the divorce.

3. Whenever a couple insists on excessive PDA and statements about how manly/ womanly/ sexually active they are, you should immediately suspect that at least one of them is bearding for the other. In this case, it’s a double bearding.

So you should expect several staged photo ops in the near future of the “intact” family. There will be lots of big, fake smiles and boisterous, fake laughter and playful, fake cuddling. They’re actors, people. All of them. Actors know how to fake happyness.

5. Leaking information that a woman is having a secret affair with her costar is a very creative way of trying to convince people that your client is heterosexual. She is not.

7. Don’t expect anyone to come out of the closet on this one as a result of the divorce. Their livelihoods depend on them being perceived as stereotypes of an A-list masculine action hero and a sexy and devoted mom.

8. Threats of lawsuits are mere blustering and are meant to discourage the media from printing additional stories. The truth is that this couple would never actually expose themselves to discovery (e.g. interrogatories, depositions, requests to produce documents).

9. They’re done.

The ex-Libertines singer is reportedly planning on dedicating his shows at Reading and Leeds Festivals to the late singer.Maybe his recent stint in jail gave him time to think and reflect? Pete got out of the clink last month after serving only two months of a six-month sentence for cocaine possession. According to reports in the Daily Star On Sunday,Pete wants to do something special to mark the death of his talented pal.

“Pete was really good mates with Amy and he’s still really cut up about her death. He hopes to help get rid of his demons by dedicating his festival gigs to her memory. He loved her music and hopes he can do it justice,”said a source.

“I'm struggling with f***ing everything because I'm so bewildered about what happened to Amy. I was in bed when I heard the news of her death. Someone had to wake me up to tell me. I couldn't take it in and still can't. Coming to terms with what has happened is almost impossible. It's hard to think she's not with us anymore.”

Hopefully this will be the wake up call Pete needs to finally get clean and sober.

The BBC is reporting that singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead.  Spin's guess would be overdose.  Is this surprising? No.  Sad? Very. Chalk up another member of the 27 Club.

Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her home, the Press Association has reported.

Last month, the north Londoner pulled out of her European tour after she was jeered at her comeback gig in Serbia for appearing too drunk to perform.

For 90 minutes, she mumbled through parts of songs and at times left the stage - leaving her band to fill in.

The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her musical career in recent years.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained.

London Ambulance Service had been called to the flat at 1554 BST and sent two ambulances but the woman died, it said.

This A list couple, although, if taken individually he is probably a B+ actor who sucks at acting and she is rarely in anything anymore because I think most of her days are filled with followup doctor's appointments. Anyway, this couple is finished. Over. If they don't announce their divorce prior to July 4th, I will go ahead and do it for you on that day. You know, because I care.

AFP - Health experts in Portugal said Friday that Portugal's decision 10 years ago to decriminalise drug use and treat addicts rather than punishing them is an experiment that has worked.

"There is no doubt that the phenomenon of addiction is in decline in Portugal," said Joao Goulao, President of the Institute of Drugs and Drugs Addiction, a press conference to mark the 10th anniversary of the law.

The number of addicts considered "problematic" -- those who repeatedly use "hard" drugs and intravenous users -- had fallen by half since the early 1990s, when the figure was estimated at around 100,000 people, Goulao said.

Other factors had also played their part however, Goulao, a medical doctor added.

Portugal's holistic approach had also led to a "spectacular" reduction in the number of infections among intravenous users and a significant drop in drug-related crimes, he added.
A law that became active on July 1, 2001 did not legalise drug use, but forced users caught with banned substances to appear in front of special addiction panels rather than in a criminal court.
The panels composed of psychologists, judges and social workers recommended action based on the specifics of each case.
Since then, government panels have recommended a response based largely on whether the individual is an occasional drug user or an addict.

Of the nearly 40,000 people currently being treated, "the vast majority of problematic users are today supported by a system that does not treat them as delinquents but as sick people," Goulao said.
In a report published last week, the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) said Portugal had dealt with this issue "in a pragmatic and innovative way."
Drug use statistics in Portugal are generally "below the European average and much lower than its only European neighbour, Spain," the report also said.
"The changes that were made in Portugal provide an interesting before-and-after study on the possible effects of decriminalisation," EMCDDA said.
